WHY SPRAY FOAM?

COMMERCIAL SPRAY FOAM

One of the leading reasons to choose spray polyurethane foam as an insulator is its high R-Value.

SPF resists thermal transfer better than fiberglass, cellulose, batt, and blown-in insulation, increasing the energy efficiency of the structure and securing the building envelope against air and temperature leaks. Greater energy efficiency leads to reduced overhead costs, while the insulation also creates a better work environment through reduced noise and improved air quality. Bottom line: if you’re looking for affordable, effective, energy-efficient insulation, spray foam is the way to go.

Open Cell Spray Foam

SPF comes in two varieties based on the structure of the cells that make up the foam: open cell and closed cell. Of the two types of spray foam, open cell foam is the most cost-effective choice to cover large amounts of space while filling any gaps that may otherwise be left with closed cell foam or other insulation. Because the cells are left open, this flexible type of foam expands as it cures, making an even coating easy to achieve.

Closed Cell Spray Foam

In contrast to open cell, closed cell foam has a much higher density. Because it’s more rigid, closed cell foam can actually contribute to the structural integrity of a building. It’s also impermeable to water, sealing out moisture and resisting damage from exposure. Finally, closed cell foam is rated with a higher R-Value than open cell foam, making it an even more energy-efficient choice.

High-Performance Building Envelopes

From walls to ceilings and floors, insulation is the key to energy savings and a comfortable work environment. Seal air and temperature leaks, lock out moisture, reduce noise pollution, and block air-borne irritants with efficient and eco-friendly spray foam.

Insulated Roofing Systems

Spray polyurethane foam can also be installed on flat roof systems. Because it’s applied as a liquid, SPF can cover and seal most existing roof surfaces. As it expands and dries, it forms a durable shell, which is then covered with a protective coating that can be walked on and resists weather damage. A roof insulated with SPF has the potential for higher energy- efficiency and a longer lifespan.
