POLE BARNS

Spray Foam Insulation for Pole Barns

Pole barns are a great investment for your property because they’re simple structures that offer tons of storage space. But, they’re just that: simple. That means they won’t be insulated and will probably have gaps in the walls and roof that allow air and moisture through to the interior.

Spray foam insulation can solve those problems without taking up precious usable space.

WHY CHOOSE SPRAY FOAM
FOR YOUR POLE BARN?

Spray polyurethane foam (SPF) insulation is applied in a liquid form and quickly expands and dries to form a solid seal that takes up less room than other bulky insulation materials. Because it’s an expanding foam, it’s perfect for sealing all the tiny gaps and leaks in your pole barn. SPF’s high R-value means it’s energy-efficient and great at keeping your barn warm in the winter and cool in the summer.

It’s also moisture-resistant to prevent mold and mildew and increase the durability of the structure.

Open Cell Spray Foam

SPF comes in both open cell and closed cell varieties, and both are great for insulating pole barns. However, they do have different advantages. In open cell spray foam, the bubbles, or cells, are not completely closed off. This gives the foam more ability to expand and cover more area in a single coat. Open cell spray foam can reach all the nooks and crannies that may allow air and moisture through.

Closed Cell Spray Foam

The other type of foam is made up of completely closed off cells. Closed cell spray foam is more dense and rigid. The advantages of closed cell foam include adding to the structural integrity of the pole barn, acting as a more effective barrier against moisture, and having a higher R-value.

WHY SPRAY MASTERS?

Spray foam is non-toxic and environmentally friendly, but it requires protective equipment and specialized expertise to apply properly.

At Spray Masters, we specialize in SPF applications. We can advise you on which type of spray foam insulation—or a combination of closed and open cell—would be right for your needs. We strive to complete each project in a timely manner with the care and attention to detail it deserves.
